Mt. Pinatubo, a beginner-friendly trail for newbie hikers

Mt. Pinatubo Crater Lake (February 2016)

After a long search on where we would take Hanie for her first trekking experience, we ended up with Mt. Pinatubo as it has a beginner-friendly trail with the fact that we only have a week left before our target date.

The best time to visit Mt. Pinatubo is from October to May and is a weather dependent tour.  In case of unfavorable weather conditions, the tour will be cancelled.  Hypertensive guests who are 40 years old and above are strongly advised to have their blood pressure checked before they proceed with the tour.  A medical certificate must also be presented for guests who have past and present medical history that might interfere with the activities.

Hanie made an arrangement with Ms. Haydee Bote of Mt. Pinatubo Adventure Philippines.  The public tour usually consists of 15 persons wherein groups are combine because each 4x4 must have 5 passengers only.  The tour package of P2,000.00/head includes the private van (Manila-Tarlac-Manila), 4x4 rental, local tour guide, tour arrangement.  You must choose your target date first and deposit a P500.00/head reservation fee or full payment at BPI Savings Account (1929 0531 48)/ BDO Savings Account (006 850 014 659) under Ms. Haydee Bote and send the proof of payment at hydeebote@yahoo.com.  Slot confirmation is upon partial or full payment.  The said reservation fee is nonrefundable, but transferable to others/proxy.  A P1000.00/head charge is made if the cancellation is made a day before or on the day of the event.
